Slush 2022, you had to be there!

Information updated on 27/12/22

A look back at the business mission organized by Montpellier Métropole at this major European technology event in Helsinki. It was so good, the startups that attended are asking for more. Here are some testimonials.

“We achieved all the goals we had set for ourselves!” said Thibault Brioland, CEO and co-founder of Humanlinker, a startup assisted  by Montpellier BIC. He has absolutely no regrets about participating in the Slush trade show in Helsinki, Finland.

Just like BeatHealth, Humanlinker participated in the business mission that Montpellier Métropole now organizes every year at this major European technology event. The goal is to give innovative startups in the region an opportunity to showcase their know-how, increase their exposure, and forge valuable contacts to accelerate their development, especially on the international stage.

Slush is one of the trade shows you don’t want to miss. The latest edition, which took place from November 16 to 18, proved it once again. The global innovation ecosystem was present, as usual. At least 4,600 startups were there, along with 2,600 investors, funds and venture capital firms, and 400 specialized media outlets. The number of visitors attending the event was as high as expected: Slush welcomed more than 12,000 visitors over two days.

In cooperation with Business France, Montpellier Méditerranée Métropole also organized a special day to discover the local innovation ecosystem so that companies could get a feel for the Northern European market.

This appealed to Humalinker, which, in addition to meeting potential investors for its next round of financing, also wanted to investigate the market.

“One of our goals was to establish contacts at Slush with potential partners and customers in Northern Europe. We were actually able to set up about fifty meetings during the event,” notes Thibault Brioland. “Delighted that Humanlinker was selected by Business France and the Montpellier Métropole to represent local and French startups,” he hopes to secure his first customers in Northern Europe in 2023.

Guillaume Tallon is also very satisfied with the mission organized by Montpellier Métropole. President of BeatHealth, a young company founded in Montpellier following a European research project, he was counting on Slush to promote his solution and find partners and investors, as his company was in the process of seeking to raise funds.

Once again, mission accomplished:

“We found both potential partners and potential investors.” Guillaume Tallon concludes: “It would not have been a priority for us to go to this trade show if Montpellier Métropole had not helped us.”
