The Montpellier Venture Capital (Montpellier Capital Risque) event also provided an opportunity for Montpellier Métropole to have a booth on September 15 at France Digitale Day, an annual event that brings startups and investors from around the world together to focus on the latest trends in technology innovation.

Thirteen companies were selected ahead of time, then coached by Montpellier BIC and Bpifrance for their presentations to an audience of investors. The selected companies were Adagio, Almé, Bulane, Évolt, Koovea, La Valériane, Les Petits Mandarins, Lono, MyCarSpot, Nauticspot, NOUT, Sportihome.com, and TeraKalis.

MEETINGS ORGANIZED FOR ALL 13 COMPANIES

A total of about 82 investors listened to the companies’ pitches, both on-site and remotely via the digital solution Plussh, and retransmitted on the event application Numevent.
Not only that, but 88 meeting appointments were made during the two days (about 7 per company). Additional appointments were made after the event.

“We were able to carry out our project successfully, despite the current context. Thanks to support from our partners, including Bpifrance and France Digitale, all companies at the event obtained qualified meetings with investors and were able to start their road shows under optimal conditions,” highlights Hind Emad, Montpellier Méditerranée Métropole Vice President in charge of Economic and Digital Development.
