The Social and Solidarity Economy Month takes place every year in November and offers an opportunity to discover the SSE and understand how this economic concept can contribute to our transitioning society.

Open house for the social and solidarity economy for 30 days in November!

Originally launched by the Provence Alpes Côte d’Azur Regional Chamber in 2005, this initiative is now organized throughout all French regions by the Regional Chambers of the Social and Solidarity Economy (CRESS) and coordinated at the national level by the French Chamber of the Social and Solidarity Economy, ESS France.

This national event also highlights the know-how and activities of the men and women leading projects, as well as companies, organizations and associations that are mobilized in French territories to promote, present, and educate as many people as possible about the social and solidarity-based economy. The SSE Awards provide an opportunity for them to be recognized for their remarkable territorial initiatives.

Numerous events held throughout France

Citizens and SSE stakeholders will be able to discover, share, and develop activities related to the Social and Solidarity Economy. Examples include creating a fresco about the climate in Brest, holding a workshop to create a cooperative in Toulouse, hosting a conference on participatory housing in Besançon, or organizing a film-debate on cooperation in Reims.
