Montpellier Méditerranée Métropole is launching the second season of its Henera program, dedicated to innovative start-ups in the field of carbon-free energy. This sector-specific program, supported by EDF, SLB, and Montpellier BIC, offers the selected startups personalized assistance that blends technical expertise, business support, and access to strategic networks.

A comprehensive startup acceleration program

For nine months, companies benefit from:

  • Personalized assistance from partners
  • Training and incubation programs
  • Learning expeditions to gain inspiration and make connections
  • Shared office space at the Halle de l'Innovation facility, in the heart of Montpellier's Cambacérès district.

Summary of season 1

Three startups inaugurated the program:

  • Celest Science designs and develops a new generation of artificial intelligence to improve climate prediction, reduce exposure to climate risks, and help society adapt to climate change.
  • Renvo  has created a digital platform to cost-effectively re-use equipment for all wind farms.
  • e-ethylène designs electrolysis solutions to produce ethylene from industrial CO2 emissions.

Welcome to the class of 2025!

Four new companies are joining the Henera adventure:

  • Colvert operates battery storage systems, without CAPEX, by reusing second-life batteries for sites ranging from 1 to 20 MWh - Yann Dedouche & Louis Raymond.
  • ILD·IS Robotics designs and develops an innovative, autonomous, and robotized solution for optimizing, securing, and protecting photovoltaic assets - Barbara Indignoux and Mathieu Lovet-Durbet.
  • Anarion designs ultra-thin, lightweight, and flexible photovoltaic film with the same performance as conventional photovoltaic panels - Bertrand Montagne & Rohirkumar Jadhav.
  • Look Up Geoscience is developing a software solution that facilitates access to subsurface knowledge for the exploration of low-carbon energies, particularly geothermal energy and natural hydrogen - Sébastien Lacaze & Ehssan Mesbahi.

The first group workshop was held at the Halle de l’Innovation, marking the start of an ambitious journey for these young startups.
