A place for discovery, exchange, and learning, the Google workshop dedicated to digital technology will be free and open to all. It will take its place at the effervescent center of the Montpellier French Tech effort.

“I am delighted that Google France chose to set up a Digital Workshop in Montpellier. This choice confirms our commitment to promote digital innovation, a development pillar for our metropolis, notably in conjunction with actions led by Montpellier BIC, designated by UBI Global as the world’s second-leading startup incubator. Google’s arrival in Montpellier enables us to become partners on a project that represents a real lever for inclusion, economic development, and even individual development, as it will give thousands of Montpellier residents an opportunity to learn how to use digital tools at no cost and at all levels,” points out Philippe Saurel, Mayor of Montpellier and President of Montpellier Méditerranée Métropole.

“Montpellier is a very dynamic area in terms of company creation, particularly in the digital sector. This is where the BIC (Business and Incubation Centre) was launched, one of the first startup incubators in France. It only seemed natural for us to open a Digital Workshop here, a long-term location where training programs will serve the entire Occitanie region and enable both professionals and individuals to leverage digital technologies as an opportunity,” highlights Sébastien Missoffe, Vice President and Managing Director of Google France.

Other organizations also offer digital workshops, such as the Montpellier Community Center for Social Action (CCAS).
