Cykero specializes in high-end refurbishment of electronic devices such as smartphones, tablets, and computers. The company marks a major milestone in its development in France. And it’s happening in Montpellier!

A European leader in innovation and transformation, Cykero focuses on premium refurbishment of electronic devices, combining quality, innovation, and commitment to the environment.

Pop-up store opened in Montpellier

Since November 7, the Franco-German startup has been welcoming Montpellier locals to its pop-up store on the city's central Place de la Comédie. The store's opening is in line with Montpellier's strategy to boost downtown dynamism. Open until December 31, this temporary store offers:

  • A premium range of refurbished devices, including Apple and Samsung products
  • A Tech Bar for repairs and spare parts sales
  • Eco-designed accessories made from unsold leather by French luxury brands

The goal is to make refurbished products more accessible, transparent, and desirable for consumers, while raising awareness about the circular economy.

Laying of the cornerstone for Technocenter 5.0 in Castelnau-le-Lez

On November 13, Cykero began work on its future 3,500 m² industrial technocenter, located in the Eurêka district on Montpellier's east side. Dedicated to automated repairs and refurbishment, this site will be a showcase for 5.0 technology, with:

  • Automation for 80% of repetitive tasks
  • Increased production capacity to meet growing demand
  • 160 jobs created by 2027

The company's arrival at MIBI – Montpellier International Business Incubator, the Montpellier BIC business center – is the culmination of hard work by teams from Métropole de Montpellier, in collaboration with the  Occitanie / Pyrénées-Méditerranée Region.

Ambition and impact

With revenue of €27 million in 2024 and a target of €100 million in 2028, Cykero aims to become the European leader in premium refurbished products, guaranteeing a product return rate of less than 2% and a user experience comparable to that of new products.

The pop-up store and new premises illustrate Cykero's strategy to combine innovation, sustainability, and proximity by establishing itself in a dynamic area like Montpellier.
